Exciting Taylor Swift Announcement Turns Heads on Thursday (2025)

Over the weekend Taylor Swift's management made headlines with an announcement ahead of Record Store.

Before the semi-annual event in April and November Swift's management company announced Fortnight featuring Post Malone and the Blondish remix will be available in select records stores on April 12. The announcement came just a few days after Taylor Nation surprised fans with a limited-edition announcement featuring her Fearless: Taylor's Version cardigan that sold out not long after it was announced.

Fast forward a week and Taylor Nation is back with a new announcement for Swifties everywhere.On April 17, the company announced a "birthday party" to celebrate the one-year anniversary of her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department.

"You wouldn't last an hour in the asylum where they raised us. But we’ve opened up visiting hours for a #1YearOfTSTTPD birthday party! Crash the party on @STATIONHEAD tomorrow at 1pm PT/4pm ET as we listen to The Anthology on the Swifties Channel!" her management company announced on X - formerly Twitter.

Fans, of course, rushed to the comments section to share their thoughts - and guesses at a possible surprise release.

"13 presents, 13 balloons, 13 dollops on the cake and 13 pennants TAYLOR-THIRTEEN-NATION WHAT DOES IT MEAN??" one fan asked.

"12 presents, 13 balloons. Perfect Taylor-coded birthday celebration shenanigans," offered another.

"Very suspicious that the listening party is on the 18th," said a third.

The announcement from Swift's management company comes after a report from Peoplerevealed the latest on her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce.

"They have been traveling nonstop and very much enjoy it," a source told the outlet. "They are making the most of their time off together. They are hanging out with friends, too. It's a special time for them."

"...They value the same things. Right now, the focus is very much on private time out of the spotlight."
